Monday Motivational Quote

February 2, 2015 by Rose Caplan

a-thing-is-a-thingA thing is a thing, not what is said of the thing. ~ Unknown

I recently saw the movie Birdman, and this quote appeared on the mirror in Riggan Thomson’s (Michael Keaton) dressing room in a theater where Thomson is producing, directing, and acting in, a Broadway production that he hopes will save him from himself and his stalled acting career.

Simply – and very simply – put the quote to me means that a “thing” merely “is” until we choose to bring it into our focus. So how we choose to see it is up to us.

So … remember, Feed Your Good Dog so your good dog always wins!

Monday Motivation Quote

January 19, 2015 by Rose Caplan

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality… I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word.
~ Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
