The Feed Your Good Dog Council knows that when you do good you feel good. So, right from the beginning, the Feed Your Good Dog Council decided that 5% of net proceeds would be donated to charity.
When you purchase a FYGD item, 5% of net proceeds is donated evenly between The American Indian College Fund and the AKC Canine Health Foundation. The Feed Your Good Dog Council knows that you will feel good because you've made a donation to worthy causes and you have something that will remind you to Feed Your Good Dog on a daily basis!
The American Indian College Fund transforms Indian higher education by providing scholarships to American Indian students and funding and creating awareness of the unique, community-based accredited Tribal Colleges and Universities, offering students access to knowledge, skills, and cultural values which enhance their communities and the country as a whole. Tribal colleges preserve language and culture by integrating these important elements into their curriculum, ensuring that our Native American legacy isn’t lost.
The American Kennel Club is best-known for being the registry for pure-bred dogs, but what most people don’t know is their advocacy for all dogs. Nearest and dearest to their heart is the Canine Health Foundation, the largest non-profit funder of research into canine-specific diseases in the world. The mission of the AKC Canine Health Foundation is to develop significant resources for basic and applied health programs with emphasis on canine genetics to improve the quality of life for dogs and their owners.
